The Chiss Ascendancy
History: Following the establishment of the Sith Empire in 247 ABY, the Chiss Ascendancy returned to thier reclusive ways. Although there was an established communication between the Ascendancy and the rest of the galaxy, they largely remained in their own borders within the Unknown Regions. They cared little for the wars that sprung up between the Republic and the Empire. They constantly try to remain neutral in galactic affairs. Within the last couple centuries the Chiss Ascendancy has expanded from Four Ruling Families to the now Seven Ruling Families. They are guarded by their massive amounts of defensive bases in their borders, as well as a large fleet operated by the Chiss Expansionary Defense Force.

Government System: Three government branch. The executive is formed by seven Aristocras, one representing each of the Seven Ruling Families. The Senate has a representative from each of the 27 colonies as well as one from Csilla. The Judicial branch is largely operated by the Sabosen family. The Nuruodo family provides the Chiss with a commander-in-chief. Other families often provide specialization with other aspects of Chiss society.
