The Fall of Order
It is nearly 600 years after the Battle of Yavin and the events surrounding the fall of the Galactic Empire. The proud New Republic has all but fallen. Only a few dozen core worlds cling to the hope of a Galactic Republic, meeting on the world of Corellia.
It is the Sith Empire and DARTH MALLUS that hold the power. They control much of the core, including Coruscant herself, and many other systems in the galaxy, and their dark reign is only rising.
The Jedi Order has returned from shambles. Losing many of their ranks during the wars that brought an end to the New Republic, they went into seclusion and rebuilt their order on the remote planet of Ilum, and later expanded to Yavin 4. Their army now stands as a military might that could rival any armada in the galaxy. With this force they remain loyal to the Republic.
The Outer Rim is now a completely feudal area. The Mandolorian Sector, the Chiss Ascendancy, and Hutt Cartel control many of the planets lying out of the reach of the Sith or the Republic.
The universe stands in an age of darkness and chaos. The future is uncertain, and only the strongest may be able to save the galaxy...
