The Sith Empire
History: The Sith continued following the death of Darth Krayt. The One Sith, or the New Sith Order, operated in secrecy for several years, until they gained their final place of power within the Fel Empire. In 247 ABY, the Sith orchestrated an attack to wipe out the final traces of the Galactic Alliance, effectively ending the Galactic Federation Triumvirate, and placed into absolute power the Sith Empire. The following 300 years were marked with leadership and dominance through fear and manipulation. Although some systems appreciated the absolute and efficient rule of the Empire, others grew restless. Soon the idea of reestablishing the Galactic Republic began to form, and, with effective leadership by the hidden Jedi remnant several worlds were recaptured, with the main flashpoint being at Corellia. Following the massive defeats in the last 50 years to the new Galactic Republic and the Mandolorian Sector, the Sith Empire has been in decline, and has focused on creating a massive army led by Sith Warriors taught in the very hallowed halls that once held the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Their more recent rule has been harsh and ruthless. It is a time of desperation for the leaders of the Sith Empire, and they have answered with the introduction of more power.

Government System: Dictatorship. The Sith Empire is ruled by the Kel Dorian Emperor Darth Mallus, with his human apprentice, Darth Kyren, at second-in-command. Darth Kyren heads up a twelve member body of Sith Lords known as the Dark Council, who are in charge of tasks deemed too menial for the Emperor's attention. Sectors of the galaxy are also generally controlled by System Lords or Grand Moffs, who report directly to the Dark Council.
