Name: Kan Rook
Gender: Male
Age: 35
Species: Kel Dor
Homeworld: Dorin
Alignment: The Hutt Cartel
Occupation:Warden
Personality: Kan is a very reserved, introverted being. Slow to trust, he will often seem cold almost to the point of being hostile to those who do not know him. To those he trusts however, he is much more amiable, though still stern when the need arises. He is very cynical, and incredibly sarcastic.
Being a Kel Dor, Kan inherited a black and white sense of justice, although he doesn't carry it to the degree most Kel Dor would. He prefers the Galactic Republic over the Sith Empire, but only because he sees the Sith Empire as a haven and breeding ground for mass murderers.
While the only loyalties he has are to his crew, it can be said that Kan works for the Hutt Cartel. While seeming counter-productive, Kan sees this as a way for him to make enough credits to keep his vigilante operation running while still taking down the murderers and crime lords that the less corrupt Hutts see as threats to their power. While aware that crime is rampant everywhere, Kan only goes after the most powerful and dangerous of criminals when not working for the Hutts, the ones more traditional law enforcement is afraid to handle.
Kan prefers incapacitation to killing, seeing death as an easy way out of what should be a lifetime of incarceration. He has no qualms killing someone if they prove impossible to capture, or if he does not deem them important enough or their crimes grave enough to be detained on his ship, the Justice Unyielding.
Appearance: 6', 2", 170 lbs. Kan has orange skin and the mask and goggles his species must wear when not on Dorin. He is fit, but not overly muscular.
Weapons: Kan's primary weapons are a Verpine Shatter Pistol and Rifle (outfitted with scope), depending on the range at which he has to engage his target. For melee fights and unruly prisoners, Kan carries a Force Pike similar to the ones used by the Emperor's Royal Guard. Attached to both of his wrists are Whipcord Launchers, both capable of delivering varying degrees of electric shocks. Due to his frequent travel through Hutt space, he is capable of using just about any weapon he can pick up, with varying degrees of competence.
Armor/Clothing: Kan wears a black suit of Imperial Knight Armor confiscated from one of his prisoners when the man was captured. The rogue Knight had not been wearing the cortosis gauntlets when he was captured and Kan removed the cape, so they are missing from the armor. His force pike is holstered on his left hip, his pistol below it on his left thigh and his rifle on his back. The whipcord launchers have replaced the cortosis gauntlets. In the heavily reinforced back of his armor resides a Ysalamir attached to a nutrient pack.
When he travels outside his ship, Kan trades in his mask and goggles for a form-fitting black helmet designed specifically for his species. The eyes glow a dull red, and let Kan switch through various different types of view, including infrared and night vision. There is also a comlink built into the helmet.
Vehicle: A modified Lictor-class dungeon ship, the Justice Unyielding, serves as Kan's home and base of operations. He acquired it from a Hutt who, ironically, was its first inmate. All the other guns or equipment were given as gifts from various Hutts or were taken from the ships of his prisoners. Its painted a dark grey, and outfitted with 10 heavy turbolasers, 30 quad turbolasers, 5 ion cannons, and 2 tractor beam projectors. It has a crew of 400 men who operate the ship, complemented by 400 guards and 600 guard droids. The ship has 9000 cells, 1000 of which were specially designed to hold Force users. 507 of the normal cells are occupied and 42 Sith are entombed in the special cells. The bridge of the Justice Unyielding is outfitted to withstand a lengthy siege in case of emergency.
When Kan needs to leave the Justice he uses his black A-24 Sleuth Scout, Justice's Shadow, to slip on and off a planet with his target without being detected.
History: Kan's father had served in various corporate securtiy forces over his lifetime and foreseeing a dangerous life for his son, Kan was taught everything his father knew about combat at an early age. When he turned 20 he found work on a merchant vessel, which was captured by slavers a month after he joined. He was sold to a very powerful, and incredibly cruel, Hutt named Nolka.
Within the first month of his slavery Kan convinced Nolka that he would be more useful as an enforcer to track down the Hutt's enemies than as a petty slave. Nolka had just raided and then stolen a Lictor-class dungeon ship, and gave it to Kan as a token of good faith. It took a week for Kan to hand pick the guards and the crew, and a single day to rebel against Nolka and imprison him on the newly named Justice Unyielding. He has since made a name for himself as a vigilante prison warden, and one of the most effective hunters employed by the Hutt Cartel.
