The Galactic Republic
History: Following the collapse of the Galactic Alliance in 247 ABY, a small band of remnant forces based on Corellia began preparations to attempt the reconstruction of a galactic senate. Several systems met in secret to plan the rebuilding of the Republic, and for 300 years they prepared to make an attack, and during this time they assisted in the rebirth of the Jedi Order on Ilum. Aided by Jedi forces, they were able to make an attack in 549 ABY on Corellia, sparking an uprising of people against the tyranny of the Sith, and claiming the first of the five planets in the system as Republic. The success in Corellia was the first of a string of victories across the galaxy. With the help of the Jedi and the Republic army massed on Ilum, loyal to the Jedi, as well as heavy navy support from the Corellia system and the Nova Calamari system, the Galactic Republic now struggles to make a foothold in the galaxy, as well as defeat their adversary, the Sith Empire.

Government System: Three branch government, Judicial, Executive, and Legislative. Every planet in the Republic has one Representative in the Senate, and the Executive branch is comprised of two senate-elected Consuls. The military is controlled by the Jedi Order, and a Council endorsement is required for the Senate to decide on attack.
